Team is part of : Bioimaging

The Bordeaux Imaging Center (BIC) is a microscopy facility that provides service, training and develops new imaging techniques. The BIC development team is involved in three axes within the GPR-LIGHT scope :

NanoCryo-CLEM
The BIC participates in a ANR Equipex+2020 project coordinated by Rémi Fronzes, to implement and develop a nanoscale workflow of Correlative Light and Electron Microscopy in cryogenic conditions.

Expansion microscopy (ExM)
ExM has been recently included as a super-resolution technique in the research projects of the GPR-light members. The BIC has a strong expertise in sample preparation, imaging and analysis in ExM.

A home-made Lattice light sheet microscopy (LLSM)
is available at BIC since 2017. LLSM combines high spatio-temporal resolution with very low phototoxicity, enabling 3D time-lapse imaging of light sensitive samples. This technique is being continuously improved (FRAP module, deeper imaging with AO) to satisfy BIC users’ needs.
